While I welcome the ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian aid must reach those who need it. Food and medical supplies are the first step in easing the appalling conditions families face. I have written to the Government asking what steps they are taking to ensure aid reaches Gaza.

Small local businesses are the backbone of our economy and give our towns the character that big chains simply can’t.

That’s why, at PMQs, I asked the Prime Minister whether he really believes Labour’s recent tax hikes are making things fair for small businesses.

On Monday I gave a speech on the impact of baby loss. I wanted to highlight the hard work of Louise Caldwell who’s tireless campaigning has resulted in the creation of multiple baby loss rooms, helping many mothers and families through their trauma.

This week I and my #LiberalDemocrat colleagues have signed a joint letter by @maxwilkinsoncheltenham and @libdemvictoria to the Prime Minister opposing mandatory digital ID cards. We were at the forefront of opposing mandatory ID cards under the last Labour Government and are ready to do so again.

Alongside Mike Martin MP, I’ve written to the PM and Foreign Secretary about our constituents Margaret and Malcolm, aboard an aid flotilla to Gaza.

They face escalating threats and we’re urging the UK Government to act urgently to protect them and press Israel to safeguard all humanitarian vessels.

I spoke in the Chamber on the Employment Rights Bill, drawing on my own family’s experience with zero-hours contracts. I made the case for a system of work that is flexible, fair and secure - ensuring that everyone can access employment in a way that truly works for them.

#ArtificialIntelligence could boost productivity and growth, but experts warn of its risks without proper regulations. I asked the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology if she will fulfill the AI Bill promised by her predecessor to ensure Britain's safety.

I was proud to join with my Liberal Democrats colleagues to support our farmers at the #FarmersProtest in London today. Our family farms keep us fed and they need our support. That’s why we’re calling on the UK Government to axe their tax on farmers.

As we move towards a sustainable future, we need to make sure we bring everyone with us. It was great to meet with NESO to hear about what they’re doing to make sure we have the energy we need in the future.
