Seems like that verified guy on X formerly known as Twitter reported the halt on tariffs one day too early.
So far, Mario Kart World seems to be only $90 physical, while even Donkey Kong Bananza is only $70. It seems only system sellers will get the >$70 treatment. Still crazy but much more reasonable.
While $500 for the console and $90 for the physical games is a jump (even higher than the projected $60 to $70 for games like GTA VI), it isn't overly greedy as it is in line with the rise in median wage of consumers (some say from $600 in 2007 to nearly double now) and increased cost to make them.
