After attending & presenting at MACUL, I took some time to explore the Detroit Institute of Arts While the latest advancements in AI and technology are undeniably impressive, standing in front of artwork created hundreds of years ago was equally—if not more—awe-inspiring.

In a world of digital messages, a handwritten note holds unique meaning. These notes to me—from a superintendent, a department, and a paraprofessional—serve as a powerful reminder that a simple, thoughtful gesture can have a lasting impact. Thank you to those who I work with.

I am truly honored and humbled to step into the role of incoming RITS Chair. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues from across the state and working together to make a meaningful impact.
