Not sure when Dad acquired this old GMC grain truck. It's obviously been sitting for quite a while. Plenty of good angles of it, as we take a break from barn photos for a bit.

Nikon FE, with the Nikkor 50mm F1.4 and Ilford HP5 film.

The old chicken coop / hog barn isn't in shape to be saved. I don't let anybody in it, as It's already partially collapsed. But it does make for a nice photo.

i would have never thought i’d ever see a lot of this. Thunderbirds 2086 / Techno Boyger. i watched this show a lot as a kid and don’t know anybody else that even knew about it

One of my favorite shots of the old barn. Three era's of construction here. (Also 7 windows and a door that I need to replace).

Again with Dad's old Nikon FE, Ilford HP5 film, and the trusty 50mm F1.4

Going to be posting some photos of the barn, and other weathered things on the farm, prior to kicking off the project. This angle start to show some of the real issues I'll be dealing with.

so, if i do start giving updates, here is the barn in question i’ll be restoring. this it’s only good angle on the outside. Dad only did the red tin on the sides that face the house.

the other sides, and the interior, are nowhere near as nice.

would anybody be interested in me chronicling the restoration of a barn?

after 15 years, i just took the last order at my pinball business called “siegecraft electronics.”

sad but happy day. i put a lot into it, and it helped me immensely when things were very tight. but its time to move on.

A stunning photo taken by photographer Jacek Stankiewicz.

What do you think these birds are arguing about? 😂

decent little kit by Airfix. But as i’m building it for my own shelf and not as a competition kit, i’m not going to drop all the stencils onto it.

I might hit it with a wash. i might just say “it’s done” and go to the next project.

my daughter is getting quite the eye for composition!

had a chance to teach the kiddies how to shoot the M1 this weekend. One of my favorites to take to the range.

(yes i had ear plugs in. i just have big ears, so you can’t see them. don’t judge me!)

finished up this RDuck Locomotive Works kit of an 0-4-2T narrow gauge.

fun kit. Enjoyable to not stress over super fiddly stuff. Highly recommended.

more work in today with the RDuck Locomotive Works kit of a Fletcher-Jennings 0-4-2.

The new bottle of wood glue has been a huge help. Old bottle was far too thick to apply properly.

i have acquired “the beast”

Pentax 500mm f4.5, in the later SMC K-Mount version.

don’t let your eyes deceive you, this sucker is tripod only. Focus ring is basically where my right hand is, and it weighs 15lbs.

something a bit different. laser cut plywood build of a narrow gauge locomotive. Kit by RDuck locomotive works.

finally got back to the bench, and base coats are on the Airfix Meteor. Not going crazy on this build. Will just be a quick “spray, decal, wash” job.

back on my nonsense, buying stuff again. finally saw the Gundam Assemble boxes in the wild.

more treasures of Dad’s that i’ve found. His old Nikon FE. A lot of my childhood was seen through this lens.

I think i need to get some batteries and re-learn the old ways. Such a wonderful feel to these old SLR’s.
