It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.

Something I find many people - particularly white people, men, & christians especially, people from privileged identities - struggle with is that yes, people can show remorse & grow from a bad act or bad worldview. That doesn't mean they're owed forgiveness or power.

I believe in redemption for everyone. I do. It's a part of my abolitionist makeup. I believe anyone who genuinely wants to do the work can be redeemed.
