Imo, this is tied to the quote about how conservatism relies on
1. ingroups are protected by law, but not bound by it

2. Outgroups are bound by laws, but not protected by them

I will forever maintain that conservative media/politicians are people who couldn't get a part in their community theatre & are driven by vengeance against the ND, LGBTQ, & theatre kids that dominate the arts conservatives aren't talented or likable enough to get into.
