After Cyclone Senyar, our emergency team in Aceh, Indonesia, distributed over 4,000 relief packages to communities. These kits included essentials like:

🧼 Hygiene products
🍽️ Cooking sets
🚽 Materials for emergency latrines

Rebuilding a health facility is one thing; rebuilding its services is another.

We worked with local health authorities to do both in Daraya, a suburb of Damascus, Syria, where people can now find reliable care after many war-torn years.

Following two drone attacks in Sudan, near the border with Chad, 29 people sustaining injuries were referred to the MSF-supported hospital in Tine, eastern Chad. 6 people were reported killed during the attack, and 4 more died in hospital.

🔴 On 4 February, one of our colleagues was shot in the abdomen by a stray bullet while inside our healthcare centre in Al-Mawasi, Gaza. She was transferred to Nasser hospital for surgery and is now in stable condition.

In southeastern Mauritania, we’re developing comprehensive care for Malian refugees who have survived extreme violence. This includes mental health care and a community network for identifying and referring people.

Last night, our hospital in Lankien, South Sudan, was hit in an airstrike by the government of South Sudan forces. One of our colleagues suffered minor injuries, and the hospital’s warehouse was destroyed.

Attacks on hospitals are unacceptable.
