It's dark and gloomy outside, perfect for unnatural beadwork! Now all I need to do is paint the hoop and do the backing, after a tea break...
It's a one off, but if people like it I might paint the morning after, surrounded by the blessings of the Great Pumpkin.
What am I working on this morning? A few things, but mostly finishing up this Pumpkin Cultist, about to spend his vigil in the pumpkin patch...
Yesterday my classes were so much fun! And my hot pink threadpainted mouse got hot pink toenails too!
It's turning out pretty great, and I'm happy about that!
Thanks so much! I've still got some stitchings to add to it, but it's really fun so far!
I specialize in bizarre, and thank you!
Thank you! It's always a fun journey, exploring a new idea in depth with a handful of supplies.
Thanks! I couldn't help breaking into some of the silk ribbons!
It was a double feature at the drive in; we were going to see a Bruce Lee movie, but my dad had neglected to tell Mom that the Chainsaw Massacre was the first movie. Mom kept putting our heads down to "take a nap" but I kept peeking, because of course I did.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre when I was 3, and Phantom of the Paradise when I was 4. It explains so much about me now.
I'm planning on some beadwork tomorrow, and then I can paint the hoop and get a backing ready. I'm really pleased by how it's coming along so far.
What's up this morning? I'm working on a fun little thing for October, painting a Great Pumpkin cultist settling in for a long night's wait...
I'm kind of amused by what I'm working on today. One is my sweetly silly hot-pink field mouse for my class. The other is an unsettling creature that's getting lots of weird beadwork and ribbons and whatnot. I like to think my work is multifaceted...
And I just caught the typo. But peet pressure is hysterical and cute, and I'm keeping it.
(Clearly I'm entering my Lisa Frank era. *Facepalm*)
Me, teaching my Threadpainting class: "So, the mouse we're working on can be any color you like; you're not limited to browns or grays."
My students: "Can you do a hot pink one? We want to see a hot pink one!"

Peet pressure is a hell of a thing; I'm telling you...
I'm organizing which jewelry I plan to take with me, for the Gods and Monsters merch table. So many delightful eyeballs!
Hey there, ya wanna see some more pumpkins? There's a couple of little guys still out there, not quite ripe yet. But these were ready for me to pull them out of the pumpkin patch. I'm definitely keeping the big guy here for carving...
Bondi aged 20 years in one second when he asked that.
