According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a Fleem should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The Fleem, of course, flies anyways. Because Fleem don't care what humans think is impossible.

I think I'd take raffiene's tower. It's almost 100% to make my deck and I haven't felt the downside of a tapland in this cube that you might be wary of in a modern vintage cube.

Our last pack for the week comes from the Ban Shuffling Cube, by Max McCall. It doesn't have anything that makes you search your library! What would you pick from among all these fine opti -- AW GEEZ

Today's Main Event entrant is The Control Cube, designed by Kyle Ferguson. This environment demands judicious resource management, making for a lot of tough gameplay decisions! I'm definitely sure this time that *this* choice will be tough also -- how would you start this draft?

Good morning, cubers! Let's recap some of the Cubes you can expect to find at CubeCon 2025. Noah Mickel's Alt History Powered Cube is a Magic-IP-only take on a vintage environment. Without the pesky initiative to get in the way of the bangers, what would you pick?
15 cards from Alt History Powered Cube:
Oath of Druids
Timetwister
Tamiyo, Collector of Tales
Punishing Fire
Expressive Iteration
Dark Confidant
Goblin Guide
Scalding Tarn
Emry, Lurker of the Loch
Hangerback Walker
Sundering Titan
Archangel of Thune
Breya's Apprentice
Titania, Protector of Argoth
Burst Lightning

Our next cube to show off is the Aeneid Cube, Agarikhan's homage to Odyssey block that seeks to ramp up the graveyard synergies as much as possible. What would be your pick from this pack?

Our next Cube to showcase as part of the main event is The Chicago Cube, designed by Kyle Fouchey, Conor Salinas, and Sam Ives. This is an intricate cube with lots of cross-synergies: every pack is sure to have many interesting ways to start the draft! Which would you choose?

We share a name, it would be cosmic injustice to not at least interview for this.

Lost to Septer imprinted Ancestral Recall in the quarter finals of CubeDungeonCon. Thanks @aquaone.bsky.social for bringing the cube, and to @islandponder.bsky.social for hosting a great event!

The fact that in some formats, for example, Consider can be a mediocre 35th-40th card, and in other formats it can be deck defining win condition (Doomsday/Murktide/Oculus come to mind) really challenges even the most experienced drafter to understand what is important in any given environment.

The hardest part of learning how to cube draft or draft in general for me has been learning how to evaluate cards in the context of the format.

Hey @magic.wizards.com, I see you are planning a forgetful fish event in Atlanta, seems appropriate to include the champ ;)

Given that red's design space is being explored (see unbound mana dork) what are the odds of a return to a Fissure/Aftershock type removal spell in a modern set

I'm not convinced it's the only thing in the way, I think in time the One Ring(for power level/homogeneity) and Nadu(for tournament logistics) will have to say goodbye as well. It may be a year until we see legacy back to a truly excellent place and that's only if nothing happens in the meantime.
