May be responsible for some of it. 1 night in the 90s, about 2 am, working late & having a cig outside tower, shortly after a CEO was kidnapped & found duct-taped in a sleeping bag. I saw the CEO of my co leaving a bar. I said "Hi!" & scared the shit out of him. The next day? No smoking, no seating.

I would guess there is a strong possibility that she won't eat your face tonight. But, of course, that could change.

About as scary as a hayride in rural Minnesota...

I just posted into the ether for no one to see. Literally no one. Perhaps Bluesky, should they want to be different from X, could have a "Boxing Day" of sorts for those who don't take efforts to build a following at all costs, but still have something to say. Maybe every couple of weeks. @bsky.app

What the United States of America did today was abhorrent. We reduced human livelihood, human cooperation to something merely transactional. We used to be better than that. And the people our action will hurt the most? They have the least ability to impact the transactions. We should be ashamed.

This is history, folks. The good kind of history. He stood up, and remained standing.

Congratulations and my sincere thank you, Senator Cory Booker. May you be the spark that dissipates this fog of fascism. I am your constituent and I am sincerely proud of you for standing up against it. Without hate, because they can't drag us that low.

Having been a staff member for a Member of Congress, I am absolutely certain that Sen. Booker's staff knocked themselves out in prep work for this. Kudos and thanks to them for their hard work. Eventually, there will be a grateful nation, that may or may not appreciate them. But they should.

Since January, I haven't always been proud of my vote for Senator Cory Booker. But I am proud of it, and of him, tonight. He stood up and did something. We don't know what spark will start to dissipate the fog of fascism this country has entered -- but this could well be that spark.

43 to the 15-year-old me. I'm 62 now. Didn't expect that.

As much as you want it gone, perhaps consider joining the NY Governor in telling the President that he has no right to interfere in this matter, rather than thanking him. Kings aren't big in NJ, either.

No one could even have possibly made up this timeline, it is so fucking stupid.

Well, it's NJ, so not entirely unusual. The Hessian graffiti carved into the fireplace mantle is pretty cool, though.

We will get thru this. I look around at my house, it's 250-years-old. Think of the dumb-fuckery it has been thru and it's still standing. We will get thru this dumb-fuckery, too. We outnumber them. We always have. Most importantly...we are better than them.

BOOM! Bishop Mariann Budde has responded to her critics who told her to apologize to Donald Trump.

“I am not going to apologize for asking for mercy for others.”

Smash that repost if you agree she owes Trump ZERO apologies!! 🦋

I just followed @dicknixon.bsky.social. It's possible I just heard my dad roll over in his grave. But it's also possible he just laughed.

You are the reason I'm keeping my Inquirer subscription (after canceling @washingtonpost.com and the @nytimes.com). Unfortunately, the Inquirer doesn't much cover my area of NJ, but I'm still good with it. Not much propaganda from Trump, either, which is extra good.

Picked up a Canon 5DMk2 for less than $200 (I paid around $3K for one back in 2012). It's a bit more work than more modern cameras, but it's nice to feel a bit back in time.
