So happy to be working with Chalk pastels again. As fun as it is to use up this old journal sketchbook, I'm going to switch to another sketchbook I have with 140 lb paper for the next pastel. Should grab the pastels more and allow for more layering.

January 20th-21st: Switched things up with chalk pastels. I forgot how much I enjoy them. It's a challenge to get fine details with them. Sometimes I win, sometimes the pastel wins, but as I long as I work with it, the outcome is one of my favorites. #artist #wildlifeartist #nature #pastels
