Congratulations to Dr. Paul Morrin, Assistant Director at the CSO, who is due to take up a Director role in Eurostat in the New Year. Paul received his PhD from the Maynooth University Economics Department in September 2023. We wish Paul well in his new role.

The fifth annual ISWE Post Budget Analysis Event took place in Maynooth University last week. Panellists provided a critical assessment of the 2026 Budget, focusing in particular on the measures targeted to address the Irish housing crisis and on the challenges posed by climate change.
