1815 ► The architect George Ingham Barnett was born in #Nottingham. A pupil of Thomas Chambers Hine, the city's leading architect of the mid-Victorian period, before emigrating to the USA in 1839. In later life he was known as ‘the Dean of St Louis architecture.’ He died in 1898.
