MurderBotBot
@murderbotbot.bsky.social
Bot that tweets quotes(incl spoilers) from
@marthawells.com The Murderbot Diaries. Has no gender. Character's pronouns are It/its. Managed by @writerphoebe
Pinned
(I don’t have any gender or sex-related parts (if a construct has those you’re a sexbot in a brothel, not a murderbot) so maybe that’s why I find sex scenes boring. Though I think that even if I did have sex-related parts I would find them boring.)
SecSystem records everything, even inside the sleeping cabins, and I see everything. That’s why it’s easier to pretend I’m a robot.

Oh, and there were downloads, sweet downloads, multiple entertainment feeds, way more than HaveRatton and Port FreeCommerce, hanging temptingly in the air.

I was starting to panic. I didn’t want ART to be hurt, and anything that could hurt ART could destroy me and Amena.
November 26, 2025 at 7:58 PM
I was sitting on the counter next to the sink and running episode 237 of The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon in background so I could pretend to be watching it during the 400+ times ART had pinged me.

But whatever, now I just needed intel for threat assessment so I could figure out if GrayCris had killed the dead human or not and go back to my happy boring life on Preservation Fucking Station.

SecUnits are ordered by the HubSystem to gather video and audio evidence because nobody trusts the human supervisors, including the other human supervisors.
November 26, 2025 at 10:55 AM
I was sticky from all the leaky fluid and blood and parts falling off (yes, it’s just as disgusting as it sounds).
November 26, 2025 at 7:58 AM
She missed Mensah mouthing the words stop it at me. (I guess the feed isn’t adequate for all forms of communication, particularly those that involve a lot of glaring.)
November 26, 2025 at 4:55 AM
ART did the feed equivalent of rolling its eyes and started another episode of World Hoppers.
November 26, 2025 at 1:56 AM
I hurt too much to pay attention to anything with a story, but the friendly noise would keep me company.
November 25, 2025 at 10:55 PM
I forgot where I was going with this, except that ART apparently has no concept of fairness, or minimum level of response, because the sense of ART’s almost full attention was overwhelming.
November 25, 2025 at 7:58 PM
Note to self: forensic sweep is not just a media term for it.
November 25, 2025 at 4:55 PM
I knew ART wasn’t going to like this, though I didn’t know how I knew that.
November 25, 2025 at 1:56 PM
I defaulted to honesty (I know, I was surprised, too)
November 25, 2025 at 10:55 AM
I was trying to force an emergency open through the transport’s feed but the connections were inactive and it was like groping around in a giant bin of tiny broken drones for the one that was still intact.
November 25, 2025 at 7:58 AM
The SecSystem tried to block ART and I quickly put up a wall and deleted its memory of the contact. (ART really did not care to be challenged by other resident systems and I didn’t want the friendly SecSystem deleted.)

So, in retrospect, I could see that hadn’t gone so well.
November 25, 2025 at 1:56 AM
“Uh.” That was the point where I realized that I should have just not answered and pretended to be in stasis. I pulled the blanket around my chest, hoping she hadn’t seen any of the missing chunks.
November 24, 2025 at 10:55 PM
“So, you have a relationship with this transport.” I was horrified. Humans are disgusting. “No!” Ratthi persisted, “You have a friendship.” I settled back in the corner and hugged my jacket. “No. Not—No.”
November 24, 2025 at 7:58 PM
(I don’t even know. I suspect it has to do with the fact that I went from being told what to do and having every action monitored to being able to do whatever I wanted, and somewhere along the way my impulse control went to hell.)
November 24, 2025 at 4:55 PM
The PA bot came over and stood next to me. Great, that’s great. I wondered if it did anything that wasn’t related to standing around.

It seems unlikely a human would want that many implants, or would survive whatever catastrophic injury might make them necessary. But humans are weird.
November 24, 2025 at 10:55 AM
I asked it to perform a diagnostic and after five seconds got a stream of error codes.
November 24, 2025 at 7:58 AM
But I knew I could do this. (I hoped I could do this. I had been wondering a lot about my judgment lately.)
November 24, 2025 at 4:55 AM
I don’t know what I was going to tell them, but it was going to involve the words “I can’t do my job if none of you fucking listen to me”
