Doesn't matter who owns the deed if they can do whatever to whomever they want under this admin. Trump and CO will be paid off and Qatar has another wonderful site for there next Jamal Khashoggi with great security and plausible undeniably thanks to the US government.

Don't expect its going to go has it has historically foe other bases or deals. Biden isn't here and I'd be upset if/when he did it as well. This isn't good and Trump will allow them to do whatever they want in that location if the price is right. This isn't the same, this admin will allow anything.

They're quite against mixing, but on separate sides of the world with strictly enforced borders MAGA and Qatar are actually quite well aligned ideologically. The administration will in more words justify it by calling Qataris the good arabs. Most MAGA nuts will buy it, but not all.

How is this even legal?

It's not illegal, but it would be a violation of US sovereignty and a departure from its long-standing policy of not allowing foreign military bases on its territory.

That was a substitute teacher and he got fired. That’s like having a guest stay at your house, who invites a bunch of people you don’t know for a party and they take your kids.
