Any opportunity to play Partch Instruments is a special occasion for us! This week we had first rehearsals for two works in progress by Phillip Gerschlauer and Gebhard Ullmann, specifically composed for the instruments made to suit Partch's unique tonal system of 43 tones in one octave.
