Just watched His House and am shocked I’ve not seen anyone talk about this movie anywhere. Fantastically shot and directed, the tension and dread are built so well, and the supernatural elements are gnaaaarly. Story is good, tragic and very human.

I know I'm not Chris Fleming's target audience, but man, the whole "if i ever appear on subway takes i went kicking and screaming" bit is... just weird. maybe the most harmless, low stakes thing on social media, but let's use our affable persona to shit on it for a bit.

Oz Perkins has a great eye for shots. He's got a fun brain for premises. He does *not* have second drafts. Every goddamned movie from of his from Longlegs onward has been the exhilaration of a completed first draft and a gifted marketing department.
