I don't understand people who show loyalty to companies. Companies just want money. They'll kick you to the curb the moment they decide you're not a guaranteed revenue stream or their target audience. You shouldn't try to be nice to a company or accommodate them -- they wouldn't do that for you.

I watched a video of a journalist learning how to lucid dream. Their goal was to visit with people from their past.
I wonder if they realize that you don't need to be human when lucid dreaming? Like is that a thought that would occur to a normie, or are they still confined by this reality's limits?

I've installed Ubuntu 24 to my desktop. It's quite snappy compared to Windows 11. There's some software I want to play around with that only works in Linux so setting up dual boot makes sense. Everything seems to be working better than expected so far!

Seasonal depression has been kicking my butt recently. The combination of the shift to standard time and shorter days really makes me want to hibernate whenever it's cloudy or rainy. Bleh. >_<

I have a lot of mental baggage when it comes to producing art. There's a few negative interactions from 15-20 years ago that have stuck with me. I'm trying to adopt an IDGAF mentality towards these mental scars, but it's tough. I'm always afraid of receiving a new one.

I'm finally getting started on my kitchen backsplash tile project. Already found an unexpected hole in the wall that will need some fixing. Looks like the countertop installers punched a hole in the drywall to make their shims fit.

What is wrong with this iPad? I have an iPad Air 3 and Apple Pencil Pro. Strokes are constantly trying to catch up or fading out early in Procreate. My older iPad Air Gen 3 does not do this. How can I fix this?

Another week of work without pay due to the government shutdown, a bunch of bill due reminders, the start of seasonal depression due to the time change, not getting a commission from one of my favorite artists, and an upcoming stressful family gathering has me feeling really depressed today.

The same bags of chocolate candy I bought last year for $16 are $21 this year. That's crazy! I have seen reports that the price of candy is up 10% compared to last year, but it's up in excess of 30% here. I'm not going to support that kind of inflationary greed this year.

What should I do for Halloween?
I thought about visiting a friend and bringing along my fursuit for some evening fun. Halloween being on a Friday evening helps a lot. However, the lack of pay due to the government shutdown reduces desire to do anything fun this year. I don't plan to hand out candy.

Did the math. I should have enough to cover primary expenses like my phone, rent and rental insurance. But beyond getting food for the month. That's out a window until I know for certain what is happening. I'd need around $100 just as a safety net for the first week and a half.
Ugh... I hate to do this again. But the government shutdown here in the US has become an issue.
I receive SNAP benefits each month that is roughly $300. This benefit keeps me fed & also covers other things like hygiene. Losing this for a month would crater me financially
