In light of the bombing of Venezuela, the Democratic Party should recall the words from its 1900 platform following the invasion of the Philippines: “No nation can long endure half republic and half empire. Imperialism abroad will lead quickly and inevitably to despotism at home.” -R

He glories in the moment of lightning bombings. But as Harry Truman once said, the buck stops with the President. And he's going to be immersed in the coming days in forces he cannot control. - R

Trump has been accused of not knowing much about history. He just showed it. Does he remember Iraq? Does he remember Libya? Does he remember the fiasco in Afghanistan? Does he remember the war in Vietnam, during which time he was a draft dodger? Obviously not. -R

This is going to involve US soldiers in the oil fields and US oil companies. There will be protests all over Venezuela, and there will be every possibility for chaos and disintegration of that beleaguered country. -R

Dictator Donald Trump has now started the Venezuelan quagmire. He declared today that he and his cohorts at the Department of State and Defense are going to “run” Venezuela until there is a transition to peaceful prosperity. -R

What other ethnic group would be treated with such indifference or ignorance or bias? Especially a devastated population, with the heaviest casualties among babies and children, by U.S.-made weapons. -R
Opinion | 65 Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics: What We Saw in Gaza (Published 2024)
“Nearly every day I was there, I saw a new young child who had been shot in the head or the chest, virtually all of whom went on to die.”

The total death count coming from the most intense bombardment and starvation (food, water, medicine and healthcare) of a human population in military history in the tiny enclave is not nearly 70,000. It’s about 600,000—or slightly over a quarter of the civilian population.

The media’s continued indifference to the massive under death count of Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of the genocidal Netanyahu—embraced for the 5th time this year at the White House—by Dictator Trump.

On the latest Radio Hour, we welcome Sam Rosenthal, political director of Roots Action, to analyze their “Autopsy” report on why in 2024 the Democratic Party lost to the worst, most corrupt GOP in American history. Plus, Ralph answers some of your listener questions.

He has also continued his predecessors self-immolating cut off of two of their major historic roots—progressive labor unions and progressive citizen groups—from advising and engaging the Democratic Party about how to beat the worst Republican Party in history. -R

Ken Martin, the new director of the DNC, has suppressed by his own admission a detailed report he promised to make available on why and how the Democrats lost the 2024 elections.

Dictators like Trump are what prompted the Founding Fathers to give the Congress the exclusive right to fire a sitting president. The polls already show a majority of Americans want this to be done. They sense that Trump and his Trumpsters are only going to get worse, much worse. -R

Hijacking Venezuelan oil tankers is also an act of war. Trump also has declared that he wants to seize Venezuela’s oil fields. When will the Democrats in the House minority hold public shadow hearings educating the people about the most impeachable, by far, American president?

Trump has initiated a war against Venezuela without being authorized by Congress. More members of the Congressional GOP are appalled at his illegal use of the U.S. Navy committing homicide on the high seas and unleashing the CIA and its first reported sabotage on Venezuelan land.

That shows how tax avoidance and tax evasion have eroded the corporate tax base for our economy. Save, preserve, and extend the nuclear arms control treaties whose absence threatens the world, Mr. Buffett. Our country needs you. Thank you. -R

Also, in his latest annual report—all of which would make an instructive book— he reported an astounding fact: his company, Berkshire Hathaway, paid 5% of all corporate income taxes in the United States.

He can also speak out on one of his favorite themes, which is that the super-rich, like himself, are under-taxed.

Existing nuclear arms treaties with Russia are either being suspended or ignored, or, in the case of the START treaty, ending next year. Mr. Buffett can play an influential role using his past experience and his passion for world peace.

After over 60 years of historically successful investment, Warren Buffett will pass the baton to his successor on January 1. Now that he has more free time, he can re-enter his longtime cause, which is non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
