I always recommend at least showing up for TSC / Community meetings for any spec and get to know governance process. Regardless what words are used to describe it.

Yeah, I hear that a lot. Once you participate in spec & get closer, you realize it won't. It can't. Too many passionate and opinionated folks in community championing. It always fascinates how many people I know adopt specs which don't have word in it, but I've experienced changes without notice.

What about draft in the name that holds you up? It's ubiquitous in tooling. It has it's own rich tooling ecosystem. Its been around for over a decade. It has a governing body.
