[From Tumblr] Q: If we complete a bingo, but we have ideas for other prompts on the card that would not make a bingo, can we gift additional fills? If so would they need to meet the minimum effort threshold?

Hi there! Please go wild with additional fills! If a bingo has been achieved, then there's no need to meet the minimum effort threshold. Achieving a bingo should ensure everyone gets a fair gift for the work they put into creating for their exchange (as we matched people up by grid size). Thank you for the question, and have fun!

Sorry for misunderstanding! You can combine multiple prompts into one fic. You don't have to create a minimum of 3 separate pieces, but we do recommend at least 1K words per prompt. So if you were to combine 3 prompts in a fic, we'd love to see about a ~3K word fic from you!

Hi! The required # of prompts in the form lets us generate a whole square for your giftee to mix-&-match! This gives them creative flexibility, while still ensuring your gift is made of all your fave things. If you don't submit the required #, we'll fill any gaps with random-gen prompts 🩵💛

Transcript: Re: for floaters, you can downsize to a 3x3 grid without worrying about needing a pinch-hitter! In our event info, you'll see that our "bingo examples" have a dark blue outline for a 3x3 grid. Feel free to adjust to that with your existing grid.

The mods intend to make a lil' congratulations banner/badge for people who've done a bingo, and give you a shoutout on our account. So if you downsize, feel free to give us a heads up so we know you're aiming for a 3x3 bingo instead (not compulsory if you don't want to).

[From Tumblr] Q: Hi! I was wondering if I signed up for a 5x5 bingo card but ended up too busy/not managing to fill 5 prompts, would I be able to downsize to a 3x3?

Transcript: Hi there! Thank you for your question. For the bingo gift exchange, we'll be attempting to match people who have similar card sizes. So someone who is gifting a 5x5 grid will likely be gifted a 5x5 grid. This is to match equivalent effort as best we can.

However, it's totally understandable when life happens and you need to downsize your grid. What we would recommend is that (preferably before second check-in) if you feel you aren't able to fulfil your grid: reach out to a mod. We'll assign a pinch-hitter to help you, so your giftee still gets their equivalent effort back in a gift! If that falls through for any reason, we'll then notify your giftee abt adjusting their expectations.
