I live in Texas’ 18th congressional district. Thanks to Greg Abbott, I have not been represented in the US House of Representatives since March when Sylvester Turner died. There was a special election Tuesday, which resulted in a needed runoff. Greg Abbott has not set the date for a runoff.

I cannot imagine a greater insult to the poor and working class of this country, than for the POTUS to host a Great Gatsby themed party while those in need are denied food and healthcare. If you are not familiar with the significance of Gatsby, take it from me, it is worth the research.

Whether the problem is the polls or the people, if 40% approve of a convicted felon, rapist, insurrectionist, murderer, whose main priority is building a ballroom and decorating a bathroom as food funding expires for millions, and they think it is Dems who are out of touch, then we are in deep $hit.

Technology has been replacing service workers for decades. We no longer rely on humans to operate elevators, make telephone calls, deliver letters, for example. Today the technology is available for driverless cars and building construction by printers. How is our government planning for the future?

I just heard Mike Johnson say the healthcare system is broken. Obviously, denying healthcare to millions is not going to fix the system. Republicans control the House, Senate, the presidency and the Supreme Court. So if the healthcare system is broken, why don’t Republicans fix it?

Donald Trump should not be permitted to rebuild the East Wing of the White House. If an employee of mine, had demolished part of my historic property while living there, I would immediately evict him. Next I would report his crime to law enforcement. Finally, I would sue him for replacement value.

Has the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) been demolished ? The PEOC is a bunker underneath the East Wing of the White House. It serves as a secure shelter and communications center for the president of the United States and others in case of an emergency.
