37 years ago today, an F-4 tornado struck Franklin and Brentwood at 604 AM on Christmas Eve morning. This very intense tornado killed 1 and injured 7 on its 6 mile long path across Williamson County, causing an estimated $30 million in damage. The tornado began near Franklin HS, crossed (1/3)

6:07 pm, heavy rain moving into both counties, primarily Davidson. Could be some brief flash flooding around leaf clogged drains or otherwise prone areas. Gusty winds also possible.

As of 5:47 pm, severe thunderstorm warnings are juuust over the border into Kentucky and juuust over the border in Alabama. We'll see if that holds.

If the line keeps moving about 30 mph, it would enter W Davidson and Williamson about 6:00, I-65 about 6:45 and exit stage right about 7 pm. We'll see if that holds up. Currently non-severe.
