- Now, I have made a custom game boy PCB with my own screen driver that's smaller than the led board

This one hits right in the nostalgia. My first GBA was a white model I got on Christmas 2001. The only issue with this system was a dirty power switch but I did a recap for good measure. The screen is a Funnyplaying m2 and I added @nataliethenerd.com and @mousebitelabs.bsky.social's Bucket Amp.

Sometimes I wish I was a grifter because the amount of time I spend trying to iron out little things for this build is crazy.
I have unfortunately neglected my store and my other projects that pay the bills... BUT I COULD NEVER cause the satisfaction of it coming together nicely is just 🤌🏻

I love the TPS61202, like that's my girl. DC boost converter, low input voltage, always reliable. But it's kinda expensive. TI recommends the TPS61023 as a newer alternative but no matter how many times I try it, it's just not the same

I could do a whole podcast series on different solder alloys, soldering irons, tips, flux, paste etc.

Had to repair some ripped pads and rusted volume slider but the #GBA sp should be back in working order now. Big thanks to @nataliethenerd.com for all the board scans. Would have taken a lot longer to find that broken trace without them.

Tell me why, I bought a pack of Panasonic coin cell batteries from Amazon, yet the voltage is lower than the ones I have in the carts from 1998
