another one is Chris's birthday art!

i tried to express slightly different coloring styles in each to represent his state of mind during each reflection:

dissociated, childhood, watery, single color
transition, won’t even stop to look, glitchy, out of frame/out of sorts
stable but a bit broken, takes just a moment to smile at himself

in the new artwork, i tried to add some symbolism that felt really important:

Chris and Daniel are the closest to us. even though Winter is the secondary protagonist, not Daniel, Chris and Daniel are equals in their friendship (eventually…) and are likely to always stay at a similar pace and talk together, even in a group.
Arnold's position is the farthest, as he was the last to be added to the group.
Julia and Ian mirror each other in gestures and sort of expression, since they have a sort of similar "beats" of the story (joins a bit late, introduced into the group by someone else - Daniel - leaves for some time & comes back wiser)
Arnold looking at Ian, Julia looking away from Daniel, Daniel's gaze is on Chris but farther than Winter, Chris's gaze is on EVERYONE, Winter is looking at Chris, and Ian isn't looking at anyone. i hope those are clear symbolism-wise!
i tried to incorporate the shapes i associate with each of them into their highlights and small things. here are close ups:

Chris - square
Winter - upright oval
Daniel - rectangle
Julia - heart
Arnold - circle
Ian - diamond

i usually try to use these shapes when i draw their features too, like face and eye shape.

Here we have a little doodle dump of three images. The main portion being a portrait of The Alderking; Crowe. The archfey patron of the teifling warlock, Beloved Aurum, and the mysterious enemy of his other patron; Mallacht.

I think that if they all kissed eachother, we could find world peace.

Top left corner is a very old drawing of Crowe from maybe 2022. He is shirtless, arms held up in cuffs and chains overhead and he says, with a sexy smile, "so be it"

Bottom left of the canvas, we have silly chibi blorbos of Mallacht, Beloved and Crowe all together and the patrons are bullying Beloved to be the one who gets to influence him. It's basically a custody battle.

-Ian, Daniel, and Arnold - friends and in some versions "bed" partners; Ian and Arnold are a romantic couple and sometimes Daniel is with them for the more spicy things. their bond is true and tested, and they're friends forever even if in the book 1 they don't seem very close yet (mlmlm)
