And nowadays you'll see more Trails fans calling Ys 8 "overrated" when they play it, as if somehow Trails isn't Falcom's most popular and successful series by a damn country mile.

Hell, one reviewer who has it as his favorite Ys game says that while he liked the story and characters, he says that said story and characters will never compare to Trails.

And I saw Trails fans on Twitter look down on Ys as a "poverty series", with 8 being "an effort to disguise it" somehow.

Sure, most view it as the best Ys game, but they do it in such a condescending way and always feel the need to put in the addendum "it's a good Falcom game but it'll never be Trails" when praising it.
