I find it bleak that ChatGPT now has more users than Wikipedia. Many people would rather be spoon-fed information by a machine than read and research for themselves. Tech isn't just making us dumber. Worse than that: it's killing curiosity itself and the desire to learn.

I got lucky tonight. VERY lucky.

I stopped by a Savers on the way home and found these gems on the shelf for roughly $15 a piece. Someone sold their DVD collection. I love Keeping Up Appearances and Absolutely Fabulous and I've wanted to see Downton Abbey for years!

Could not pass this up!

It's a double fucking punishment under this new system. Watching and knowing you're not contributing by just watching. Streaming and knowing you're not going to grow by having lurkers, yet knowing how mandating participation or calling out lurkers often drives viewers away.
