Dont forget Fish and Wildlife Service and the refuges it manages
Remember when government communications were professional and non-partisan???
The Indian Heaven Wilderness is a special place - hiked a loop to 28 lakes and was serenaded by birds and frogs. The huckleberry and mushrooms offered fresh foraging, and the meadows were an autumnal palette of yellow, orange, and red. #saveourpubliclands #landscapephotography #hiking #nature
I think their goal is to gut every science program. With science, we learn and make progress. That is fundamentally the opposite of what these regressionist idiots want.
Patreon? Have you considered going abroad for medical care? I have looked into Thailand and Mexico... It's insane that flying halfway around the world to Bangkok, staying in a hostel for months, and paying out of pocket is still cheaper than healthcare in the US even when you have insurance.
Excessive suppression from 10am rule led to a build up of fuels like downed trees, branches, leaf litter, which would naturally burn off in a fire cycle, helping cycle nutrients back. This build up contributes to changing fire from lower intensity fires to high intensity fires that damage soils.
I think it's very inaccurate to word this in such a way that it sets the stage for authorizing endless logging and mechanical fuel treatments because "we just haven't been doing enough extraction from the forest" aka "insufficient management"
"Decades of insufficient forest management - such as fuel build-up, invasive species spread and delayed treatments - have created conditions where wildfires burn hotter, faster and more destructively." - what's missing? CLIMATE CHANGE. also "poor management" from excess fire suppression
This must be why I was told I'm a strong character....
Thanks! That's so wonderful that you guys were able to share that experience!
