I like Hasan, I'm not trying to nitpick him for his politics. Can't it be simultaneously true that 1) people are looking for excuses to attack him, and 2) he behaved badly towards his dog?

If he acknowledged he should have reacted, doesn't that mean he agrees?

I think my initial post stating an observation about Hasan was not parasocial in any way. I think the longer we go on about it though it becomes more so. Lol. But I will say that it does come off as more parasocial to go and find people to defend Hasan about than to simply post an opinion.

near constant streaming. Dog is gonna dog. Dogs should dog most of the time. Maybe if Hasan creates a situation where the dog can't dog most of the time that's a problem HE has created and should resolve. A few things you were saying earlier weren't even relevant to anything I said.

I think Hasans shortness is grating sometimes and I think he's noticed it himself because he's much better than he used to be. There's a big difference between the hypothetical you made before of someone being awoken at 3am by their dog and yelling at it and yelling at your dog for interrupting your

and I think Hasan is kind a dick to his dog. It doesn't really warrant a debate. Although I've indulged out of curiosity. It seems more like people are taking this in an emotional way more than a logical one. The reaction seems to be to interpret this as an attack on a popular leftist.

So I will say that my view on this is a bit different. My relationship with Hasan is for information and content and ends there. I don't feel any need to try and change anyone's mind about him on anything. I don't agree with Hasan on everything. No one should agree with anyone on everything.

If you scroll back up you'll see that I referred to his dog as Kaya just a few responses back. I think people that feel the need to defend Hasan against all criticism are experiencing a bit of parasocialism. This happens with a lot of big content creators that people watch regularly.

I think there are examples of other streamers we can look at that deal with their chat for long hours a day but aren't as aggressive towards their chat. I think with Hasan that's a part of the appeal. I don't dislike that he snaps at chat. I think it's kind of funny.

That's not really the same as being mad at your dog for interrupting you during a stream though is it? and humans I hold to a higher standard than dogs which is why it disappoints me when they put me in to a position of feeling snappy. Lol.

I'm not saying that. Maybe someone else is but I'm not informed by anyone else really. I just saw that it was a big thing that people thought he was using a shock collar which I don't think he is. I will tell you that I don't snap like that on animals though. Humans sure. Lol.
