Watching Gray play for UBB. Thankfully, he looks to be fully recovered from his injury trouble. However, even after 40 mins he continues to move around the field slowly and offer none of the dynamism we see routinely from Cummings, Brown, or others. He simply isn’t the right choice for Scotland.

I was going to simply let it pass. But I can’t. There just appears to be no limit to the amount of frustration Edinburgh can cause - and yet again it’s largely self inflicted too. Fans are (quite rightly) calling out that final grounding. But in truth the game should have been over with by 50 mins.

Quite possibly the least excited I’ve ever felt prior to a 6N launch. What is even the point of developing young & exciting talent if the Head Coach, whose selections have won nothing for nine long years, ignores that young talent in favour of ageing professionals now moving at half-speed?

This lad has faced off against SA & Ire starters in the URC, as well as Fra & Eng (Lions) in Europe. Townsend’s argument he’s too green is frankly little other than an up yours to those querying his selection . It Toonie was winning then he’s entitled to double down. But he’s not, he’s failing.

Worth noting that’s yet another Prem starting LH, who was again touted by The BBC/The Times as ‘Lions standard’, which Zander Fagerson has absolutely eaten alive in the scrum. The big man is an absolute monster on that TH side.
If Carre doesn’t want to scrum then sub him back off. He’s pissed about in there with binding. Then collapsed as soon as Zander brought the drive.

I often see (mostly but not exclusively) SA supporters arguing in favour of the scrum. Claiming if you don’t like the competition, go watch League. Well I like the competition - but equally I don’t think ‘the competition’ should be misrepresented to suit purpose. If the ball is out, why award a pen?

As we head into the Six Nations, can we FINALLY lay to rest the #rugbyvalues nonsense that Ire supporters respect the kicker and/or their opponents? Quite frankly it’s become Trump-esque the way we hear this every year, yet Leinster, Munster, & Ire supporters boo every opponent that turns them over.
