It's a lot of doom and gloom these couple of first days of the year, yet seeing the Arab League of Misfits prototype getting close to the finish line with draft music, voiceover and effects gave me so much hope. I'm so thankful for the people behind our project.

All these so-called "tools" create an illusion of productivity, as they shift work toward factory labor practices, turning devs into assembly line workers so they can churn projects faster, and grab more shelf space for leadership. This "cooperation" you talk about is based on numerous stolen work.

Isn't there descaling of the fish as well?

That's so true, as I saw the family turmoil degenerate every time a relative died, and some of us - like me - become this emotional punching bag, stressed to a point that it's hitting physical pain.

My father in law, may he rest in peace was one hell of a messy person, but he had some wisdom. When people died, he used to say "may WE rest in peace" because to him, the death of another was going to bring stress and pain to the family and loved ones.

Hey ChatGPT, what is sarcasm?

Like the only way I see it is this: small creators are the only ones that face financial isolation for content that major and massively rich tech companies monetize.

I have a weird tick now that has saved me lots of frustration. I don't think it's a real solution, just something I'd like to believe in. When I pick, if I'm not 100% sure I managed to follow the card with my eyes, then I default to picking the starting placement of the card I wanted. So far 60% win

And on the other hand, payment processors such as Visa pressured Steam/ Itch.io to remove and hide 1000s of legal and consensual adult titles... And the Muskverse to function with payment/advertisers support. That platform should be banned and delisted at this point.
Some Grok users, mostly men, began to demand to see bruising on the bodies of the women, and for blood to be added to the images. Requests to show women tied up and gagged were instantly granted.

The ‘put her in a bikini’ trend rapidly evolved into hundreds of thousands of requests to strip clothes from photos of women, horrifying those targeted

I've never heard of God Wonder Picks in Pokemon TCG Pocket, but I guess that's something that can happen.

I saw one a while ago that was so disappointing. Someone I watched grow steadily from being a content creator to landing really great tech roles... Only to discover he's asking everyone to stop wasting money on ChatGPT, and instead use these 5 other AI tools combined. Why?

I just checked Destiny 2 and I giggled

It's been almost a year since we moved, and I only got to calibrate our Denon speaker system... Figured I'd test with some eerie Destiny 2 The Taken King soundtrack.

Are we really asking that much for a job? Like when it's not a crappy AI position, it's one that ask of you to use the tool, or it's a questionable employer with history of harassment at leadership level, genocide complicit business, fascist approved practice or hybrid/on site roles...

Job applications these days, and their obsession with AI... I guess Paradox Interactive is one less publisher to support in my books.

Welcome Xitter refugees, it was about time you left that filthy place... Trust me, it's not worth it staying even if you built your largest following there. In the meantime, here's a handful list of good people in the game industry that are quite vocal and active in advocacy go.bsky.app/QwVfcX6
