I'm here for the dogs. And cats. And the Tigers of Detroit.
They would be old enough to be in their first or second year of college now. Maybe one of them would be enrolled at Brown.

My town is having a Buy Nothing Black Friday event where you bring all the stuff you want to get rid of and other people get to shop it for free. And you get to shop other people's "I can't use this anymore" stuff, too. There's also a voter registration drive at the same time. Just brilliant.

I made a copycat Spanish Bar Cake like they used to sell at A&P and it is bringing back all the feels.

TCM is following its showing of "The Music Man" with "Dog Day Afternoon" and I cannot imagine who was in charge of that decision.

Now how am I supposed to answer those people who don't vote because there's no difference between the two parties? How am I supposed to work next year to convince people to vote for Democrats when the Democrats act like Republicans? Fuck this.

Yes -- this! Don't you DARE send me another email asking for my money if you won't stand for something!
So, listen, call Schumer’s office no matter where you live, no matter if you’re registered to vote. Leave a voicemail that says if Senate Dems cave without an ACA premiums fix, you will never vote for or donate to another Senate Democrat as long as he is Leader

If you’re passively watching Lions-Commanders: turn it off. They’re gonna interview Trump in the 3rd quarter. Hit them in the ratings book for that. Punch them in the ratings groin for it.

While I am happy about the headline races yesterday, I am overjoyed reading the posts on the local races -- the school boards, the city councils, the county commissioners and the state legislators who flipped seats from red to blue. The unexpected victories that give me hope.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
