This afternoon, we hosted a webinar to launch new research from @tcddublin.bsky.social exploring the scale & impact of physical disability in people experiencing homelessness in Ireland.

We funded the research under our 2023-24 Research Promotion Scheme.

We have just published a review paper on Article 23 UNCRPD which focuses on respect for home and the family.

This paper provides information on relevant research, legislation and policy in Ireland relevant to Article 23 UNCRPD.

This morning, our Centre for Excellence in Universal Design colleagues presented at a Design Skillnet Summer Session on #UniversalDesign.

They discussed the principles and benefits of Universal Design, talked through #UD case studies, and highlighted the European Accessibility Act #EAA

Yesterday, we had a constructive meeting with representatives of Cuan.

We discussed ongoing work and collaboration to address domestic, sexual and gender based violence against disabled people.

We have published our 2023 report on compliance with Part 5 of Disability Act 2005. Part 5 requires that a minimum of 3% of all public sector employees are disabled people.

4.1% of public sector employees reported a disability in 2023.
