Closing out 2025 grateful for the work I showed up for—on the page, at events, and behind the scenes.

There’s a lot to unpack in the advice some white parents give their kids: if you’re lost, find a Black person. It sits uneasily alongside fear narratives about Blackness and blinders around who actually harms children. That contradiction was central to what I explored in Bearly Gold.
