A tunnel walk for an icon! Julie Lazure started as a phlebotomist in 1987 before becoming a nurse in 1989. She led several units, became an exec. dir. and the VP of Operations at Bellevue Medical Center. Julie is retiring at the end of the year. Thanks, Julie, for everything!

First, kidney cancer. Then, prostate cancer. Then, the prostate cancer came back. Finally, he received treatment at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. Today, he's cancer free thanks to his radiation oncologist and lots of prayers. Learn more: https://bit.ly/48sbO6s

These 13 women were the 1st grads of our Workforce Readiness Program. They met twice a week for three weeks to prepare to earn their CNA certification and step into an entry-level role at a Nebraska Medicine facility—their 1st step toward a potential nursing career! Congrats!
