i have my share of critiques with f but i really appreciate a good game with deeply nuanced storytelling. i’m the type of person who just likes talking about the little details here and there and i’m happy to see so much constructive discussion about that. the game is different for everybody

YES YESSSS Sakuko is such a tragic character right off the bat, all of her lines are so emotionally charged (there’s a scene in the alt dimension that tore me apart in particular). Even the fact she was the first one to “die” is so poignant, shes always getting left behind and the most vulnerable 🥹

i’m glad other people think this too—the fight leaves little margin for error. I see people compare it to a soulslike but I think the combat and enemy attack patterns definitely leave a lot to be desired, the lack of polish, in turn, make the fight difficult imo 🫣

Honestly I see where you’re coming from, I’ve noticed this pattern in a lot of recent games lately (and i couldn’t really find the words to describe it) and i can’t tell if it’s intentional or not.
haven’t played the og though so i’m excited to play it knowing you hold it in such high regard!
