When BTN money started flowing, we changed our estate plans and altered annual giving…a life time of work equating to less money than ADepts spill in a day… for the annual stuff, we’ve been able to see the $ immediately impact people in our community. Works for us, games are still fun

The right wing media machine incentives the constant production of “evidence” to fit their frames. News influencers “work” by selectively amplifying content that aligns w/ their frames/goals. The left seems to be catching on, but they need to do more than just solicit content, they need to reward it

For over a decade, my Foundations of HCI undergrad course has covered “privacy & surveillance” with a (2002) reading about the Panopticon and a once distant warning about how social media sites could create a self-censoring reality. And Ellison is just… owning/celebrating the dystopia.
