It would have been nice for Canada to lead rather than follow, but it's time the Prime Minister joined Macron in recognizing Palestinian statehood. We voted for him to make moves that break from the United States and align more with Europe. This is one of those times.

It tears at the soul to witness the images of Palestinians being starved to death by Israel. As a Canadian, I want to see our government be more aggressive in pressuring Israel to let desperate children receive aid. It's a massive global moral failure that this genocidal campaign has been allowed.

CBS just cancelled Stephen Colbert after he called out the $16 million bribe to Trump. This is fascism at work, and CBS is cowardly and spineless in their appeasement. I hope Colbert goes to HBO, where he won't be cancelled for speaking truth to power.

As a Canadian, I won't be caring at all about America's North Korea style military parade tomorrow, but I WILL be watching and seeing footage of all of you ordinary Americans out there in protest. Solidarity from Canada. May the people on the streets be the story of the day.

Either Trump greenlit Israel's attack on Iran, effectively starting a new war and undermining any negotiation, or he was too weak to stop Netanyahu from going rogue. Whichever one it was, it's an historic disastrous foreign policy failure from a President of the United States.
