the ranni art is not the “best” one i did, objectively. but even aside from being my favorite, i enjoyed sketching and rendering it the most and it was one of the few times i was able to like… just let go and have fun and not stress over everything

LMAO I MEAN I still love bg3 and Astarion so so much and it’s my fave game of all time, and honestly, probably the single most impactful piece of media in my life. I hadn’t “actively” engaged in creative hobbies for like. over a decade

yeah you’re right for sure 😭 it’s hard when you want to do something and just can’t make it happen, but im like engaging in a self fulfilling prophecy by thinking and stressing about it too hard instead of just taking a REAL break. thank you and im glad you’re being more kind to yourself ❤️❤️

Same to you 🫂 it seems to be going around, I think there’s an element of like… a lot of ppl I know (and me) came out of hibernation bc of bg3 hyperfixation and now that’s dying down and learning to engage w it sustainably is hard lol

yeah you’re right about the drawing everyday thing 😭 I think it works well for me when im in the headspace to draw but just not particularly inspired, which is distinctly different from how it’s been now.

my job has been killing me and my creativity in general has been kind of shot. idk im very like “you should draw a little everyday even if it’s bad” but it’s proving very difficult rn. trying to be kind + give myself time and hope it comes back. any advice appreciated
