We visited schools with our partner @PremaGrow under the Reconnecting Children to Agriculture (RCA) program. With support from @RijkZwaan ,kids learn agri-skills from planting to marketing. We see strong potential to join hands through @CGIAR ‘s FFS program.

We attended the National Variety Release Committee (NVRC) meeting at @KephisKe ,supporting the registration of 2 high-yielding potato lines with PCN resistance. After years of research, we’re proud to contribute to this milestone in nematode-smart farming. @IITA_CGIAR @icipe

Prof. Danny Coyne addressed the challenge of Potato Cyst Nematodes (PCN) at the 13th African Potato Association Conference, with Miriam Kungu demonstrating the pest’s morphology. Together, they highlighted the importance of PCN diagnostics in sustainable nematode management.

Today we hosted Muturi Kimani, founder of Texfad , an Ugandan company turning banana waste into eco-friendly fiber products. Our lab's research has shown that banana fiber paper can effectively control PPNs, opening doors for exciting collaboration!
