Apparently the costumes will be sold separately after the starter pack is gone.........in just over a year.

But yeah, while I get that the $100 also gives you some currency & fighter tokens, $20 per skin is still wild. Though I guess that's F2P games for you.

Unfortunately, that's how a lot of F2P games (namely Fortnite & Apex) operate. Not that I agree with the decision, but it's the nature of the beast.

I don't entirely fault him for the whole "functions" thing. Granted, I feel like he could've worded it a bit better. But I doubt he could be even remotely honest about the why (I.E. Perlmutter's petty war with Fox at the time, leading to the infamous Fox ban that impacted MvCI & other Marvel games).

I'm glad that Combofiend is doing well post-Marvel Games. Ike Perlmutter can't hurt him anymore, even if Ike did more harm to Pete when he was at Capcom ("functions" & whatnot).

I wonder if the plan is to cut out the middle-man for their CG trailers (Ex: Digital Frontier for Smash) and maybe movie production in the long-term (Ex: Illumination for Mario & supposedly DK), though the latter would still need distribution.
