Cried on the way home from work, dad had to put Mom's cat down. His kidneys finally gave out and he had no quality of life. I knew it was coming but I feel like I lost one of my last ties to her. Ernie was the best Polydactyl cat my mom could have ever asked for ❤️

It hit me recently that I'm a stingy old man. I have the money to buy new furniture but I don't need new furniture. I have been wanting to order pizza but I have frozen pizza so I won't get the pizza I want 🤷

I forgot how much I liked Solar Opposites. I've burned through seasons 3,4 and 5. I'd say I like it even better than Rick and Morty.

Just fried up the leftover ham I brought home from Christmas lunch yesterday. Little bit of mashed potatoes and a small can of french cut green beans and texas roadhouse rolls. DELICIOUS!

I've put off watching Justified: City Primeval for years because I didn't want to say goodbye to Raylan and the original show was amazing and really left a mark on me. But it's time.....

Twice this week I've gone to make something to eat and then realized I didn't have the thing I wanted. So I'm sure I won't regret the salami, pepper jack, bacon, miracle whip and banana pepper sandwich I just had. At my age I should really be a better "adult".

Mom's tradition of making "Boo Bags" for Halloween may have been supercharged by Sethy. So my youngest Nephew and my coworkers kids are getting "BOO BUCKETS" this year. A nice base of mixed candy, a craft, stickers, and some other fun silly stuff.

Being single and slightly strange (I pretty much buy the same groceries every week) makes it easy to see that HOLY SHIT STUFF IS GETTING MORE EXPENSIVE.

Nice lady I was setting up on oxygen said I had very nice smile. I told her she was clearly still heavily medicated from the hospital. We both laughed.

I pour all my energy into helping others (patients at work/friends) because then I don't have to help myself. I used to say "same shit, different day" but this is all some insane shit on a daily basis. ANYWAY I may try to find some homemade banana bread this weekend, stay tuned.

I used to have hobbies/things I did for fun but over the last couple years all my mental and emotional bandwidth has been spent on just fucking surviving. It may not make sense but like life used to be a huge IMAX screen and now it's like a 13 inch TV.

I put cut up chicken breast in my leftover turkey and dressing in hopes it would improve my mood. IT DIDN'T.
