Super excited to show off the results of a lot of hard work from our team.
we made a new story trailer for our game and were able to show it in the Future Games Show 👀
Took a break from animating creepy 3D robots to try to rig and animate a cute 2D crab. This was my first attempt using Spine by @esotericsoftware.com.

In hindsight, I shouldn't have given him so many limbs. I actually animated 2 more legs, but it looked way too busy.

We've dded new animations to our enemies. Or rather, our legendary animator @neverheardofben.bsky.social did!

Proper foot placement, stumbles and dynamic attack swings with root motion. The game is getting really fun lately!

A lot of my time these days is spent rigging, stringing together Geometry Nodes in Blender, or Blueprints in Unreal.... at what point am I no longer an animator?
A bunch of cute characters I modeled/rig/animated hoping they would entertain my daughter #animation
My favorite part of this team is that they work really hard on creating the assets and writing the logic for systems like this. Meanwhile I add a few bones to the inventory roll, randomly move them around for a few frames, and get to claim I was part of it.
So we just added basic crafting to our diegetic inventory in our narrative FPS. Still early, but what do you think?
