Thank you to everyone who loved and supported the Morgue all these years. It really means so much to me, and I was struggling not to cry last night while giving the closing remarks. Even if it isn't going to be closed forever, it's still very bittersweet to bring an end to our regular events.

This is a friendly reminder that I, a trans person, run a venue that is almost entirely made up of LGBT+ folks on staff. We're not just LGBT+ friendly, we are *protective* of them and have removed people from our community for failing to adhere to the rules due to having a zero tolerance policy.

recently spoke about this with some ppl who had similar experiences, but in short: XIV community figures, venue owners, FC leaders, please remember that LGBTQ+ friendly does not mean only a specific group. being shitty to specific queer people isn't "LGBTQ+ friendly", it's just being shitty.
