my 5 year old son makes me take him to the track at the high school to run laps and time him. i get disapproving looks from other parents as if i’m doing some kind of cruel punishment or age-inappropriate training. please folks im in pain he’s making ME do this

well for the record i did buy one for my 5yo and it’s pretty cool, i realize the limitations but its a good kid thing that i dont have to mess with too much. i just wouldn’t give it to a baby as a substitute for reading to them

i’m in a fb group to trade Yoto cards (it’s a kids mp3 player where the playlists are activated by a card) and it’s kind of depressing when you see the ways some people are using it because the idea of Reading To Their Kids is not even occurring to them as a thing to do
