We believe that the Social Web has the potential to be the most diverse space on the entire web. But to get there, we have to start simple.

We aren't experts. We're learning each time we post. Our hope is to provide the very first stepping stones to that, diverse, Social Web we dream of.

It’s unfair to presume that a person would be educated on the experiences of others from different countries, cultures, and beliefs. We’re not always perfect, but we try to take time to educate ourselves. We hope that by sharing that knowledge on the Social Web, others may too learn about the experiences of those different to them. Together, we can make this space more welcoming. We hope that if someone from a group or culture which is a minority on the Social Web sees one of our posts, they feel a little more at home. In the past, the culture of the Social Web itself has felt unwelcoming to those marginalised by Western society. This is not acceptable. The Social Web is a place for everyone who can treat others with respect and decency. It belongs to no one. We welcome everyone, no matter their culture or religion, and trust that they too will welcome the diverse opinions and voices of the Social Web.
