If you can't find alt text in my pictures it's because there's nothing else contextual within the picture that isn't explained in the post :).
Both viticulture and Wingspan releasing expansions is not good for the version of Euan who is trying to keep #boardgames buying down.

Forest shuffle is great value for money. So much game in that small box. I love how you kinda play as the cards suggest - like a mini Ark Nova.

Very important note. Lynxs score 10 points each if you have one ROE dear in your forest... Definitely not a red. 😰😰😰

READ CARDS PROPERLY.

If you came to me, having listened to this for the first time, and considered it to be a 'Best of' album...

I'm not even sure I'd correct you.

Turns out liking classical music can make you cool.

Because I followed The Duck BEFORE the kidnapping.

Going to see if I can find a Rachmaninoff Band Tee

I've been gradually moving albums from Jewel cases to sleeves and this weekend I started up the alphabatising.

Something about this kind of activity feels very soothing to me.

A fun Evening of gaming tonight which was entertained by Undergrove, Come Sail Away and I finally got a game of flip7 in!

All three were great in their different ways - very nice boardgame evening.

Beer & Bread is definitely one of our favourite 2-players. The name of this alone has me keen!!
So if you liked my game Beer & Bread, I have some good news about a unique sequel coming soon…

My wife gave me the all-clear on having a bit of a day sesh with a game so me and a friend had a mammoth War of the Ring session!

Finally got this finished - what a fantastic game. I felt bad for winning though as it was down to a bad mordor run which just didn't seem fair.

My neighbour is a big fan of Azul so he was happy for me to intro him to the Summer Pavilion variation.

A great version that I'd always happily pick as much as the original. He really enjoyed it as well: he liked to know there was a slightly crunchier version out there.

The business card scene in American Psycho is quite something and lead to this absolutely stunning parody.

Rooooooooooooot!

This is just a roller-coaster ride of victory points. First to last, last to first. You just can't predict what's going to happen and I love it. Every game is different.

I played the Eyrie, which I like to now and again because I'm out of my confort of play.

We tried and enjoyed our first run of Coffee Rush last night.

Cute gameplay that starts to get stressful as the orders pile up!

The game ends in two ways - one being someone failing too many orders. That's exactly how we ended up having to finish.... Haha.

Good fun-will play again.

Last game of my Christmas time off was Spirit Island on Tuesday!

We almost braved adding an expansion this time, but decided on one last base-only game.

We had a very convincing win - seemed like a very powerful combination of spirits.

Christmas usually involves a night with the brothers and whiskeys.

Because I'd enjoyed Ra so much on Christmas, I introduced them to it!

Codenames is a favourite of theirs so that took up the remainder.

One of my bros betting power in round two was really something 😂😂.

I've been enjoying the festive period too much to be posting, but I'll try start to catch up!

The night of Christmas day saw a lovely game of Ra in play with the In-laws. Abbs and I haven't had this out in a while so it felt like a wonderful return.

We definitely need some more time in the flight simulator.

We had to play 6 times because we crashed the first sodding flight 5 times 😂😂.

Sky Team is such a great, tense, game. We got intro'd to the Kerosene module tonight which was a great addition!

Earth is starting to look like a BORE so we decided to start getting Mars ready for a new adventure last night.

Terraforming Mars was as good as ever last night. Prelude & Colonies joined the party for a bit of extra gameplay.

Gravity remains the only 3D movie experience I enjoyed.

I genuinely just can't bring myself to watch that film again because there is absolutely no way it could ever come close to making me feel how I did in that 70mm Imax experience.

Absolutely stunning.
all three midnight opening night showings of LOTR

seeing Get Out & Us in the theater in Northgate Mall (iykyk)

seeing Gravity in IMAX

going to the red carpet New York premiere of The Hobbit (that’s a fun story)
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

Anyone want to come to my zoo?

I think there might some cool animals here in a bit.

Is Ark Nova ever not great? Not really sure I should be here saying "had a great game tonight."

You know I did.

Took a risk today to see if the kids could handle something a bit more complex.

Amazed at how well my 6YO picked this up - probably better than the 8YO.

It was fun to get Flamecraft out again after so long.

A cute, easy, play that builds up reseouce collection nicely.

"Can we play that game with the potions" said the visiting friends.

Heck yeah we can!

Quacks came out for a fun-filled night of explosions & ingredient blending.

We were really hoping over each other's scores, but then the winner came clear in the last round.

Spirit Island...

This game was on an absolute knife's edge. If we hadn't of depleted the fear deck in our final round we'd have been done for.

What a fantastic, tense game!

I just couldn't seem to keep my island under control until I got some help from another spirit.

Fantastic fun.

This weekend was a very successful intro of @jackiefox.bsky.social's Rock Hard to a couple of friends.

The winner ran away with it and had a very interesting strategy! They didn't even bother with a demo. Just took loads of candy and partied as hard as possible.

Rock & Roll, dude!

Sky Team makes for a great midweek game. Nice short scenarios, but you can keep at it if you're ready for another!

Our airline should have probably been called "Crash Landings" when we played on Wednesday.
