Don't do it then, step up to the plate and do your own thing or put out a book. If you hate us all for reading comics or at least super heroes then don't.
Note this isn't everyone of course and big shocker it seems to be more Marvel then DC but it's not exclusive.
I don't think any industry has more people that hate the customer more than comic writers. So many of them are so nasty about the customer and the work they are doing.
A free to them go work elsewhere if you are so talented it shouldn't be a problem. If you don't want to write heroes...

Mrs. Cowboy just read this for the first time ever. She cried and then said what happened after this I said OMD. She said geez no wonder people don't read comics it's ran by idiots.
She's an incredible person for much more important reasons but man does she make me smile a lot.
I am sad I will not be buying the Wolverine Book next year (like I haven't been this year) especially with Silver Sable in it. I look forward to buying them in 2027 when it won't be counted anymore.
