and how we carry stress into adulthood.
This isn’t blame.
It’s awareness. ✨

Not because the memories aren’t clear -
but because understanding them takes time.
This is part of my origin story.
Not the conclusion.
Just the moment where I stop looking away.

When sharing some of my childhood cheerleading photos, you might notice that I blurred out the faces of friends who were under 18 at the time. I did this intentionally because I am a mindful technologist and respect their privacy.

Even in something unexpected, giving your best matters. Striving for excellence, respecting the craft, and honoring the trust of those around you is a lesson I carry into every part of my life.

I played hockey off and on through all three years at St. Joseph High School, finishing my senior year still chasing improvement.
Today, I coach my son’s hockey team.
Same lessons. New generation.
Go Mavericks. 🏒

My second year, my dad coached our team: Coke Is It!
I could skate now, but more importantly, I belonged.
At the end of the season, we surprised him with this hockey stick signed by every player. I still have 🏒 , and those memories.

I discovered hockey when I was 6 or 7, watching my cousin Peter play for the University of Notre Dame.
It looked dangerous. Fast. Beautiful.
I fell in love immediately, and asked my parents if I could play.
