i'd always heard MLP folks use "horsefamous" / "horsefame" rather than "pony famous", but yeah, this is good advice.

but it's important not to let horsefame get to your head. being famous in a narrow vertical can trick you into believing you're entitled to that renown, esp elsewhere.
