We stumbled upon karaoke night at our local rural watering hole. That shit stresses me out because I think I want to join in, but I also don’t want to, you know? So, anyway, I sang 7 songs. I fuckin butchered Turn the Page, & absolutely annihilated “Fuck Her Gently” and cemented it as my new “go-to”

It’s been a fortnight since my last Keraoke evening. Alas, I find myself at the location where it all began. My mind races… “Sing. Sing. Sing.” I fight the urge. I am weak.

My Holiday Movie opinions are that we deserve an entire movie of JUST Uncle Jaimie and Aurelia’s story from Love Actually, and JUST the story of Iris and Arthur from The Holiday. Also, Home Alone 2 is superior to the first, and Die Hard is a Christmas movie—my mind cannot be changed. #scriptchat

I’ve been drowning in genealogy going HAM on my family tree as of late. And I have to say, the Dutch knew/know how to keep records! Compared to my Russian/Ukranian and English/Irish branches it’s been a slice of Boterkoek.

The first snowfall of the year. When the kids are most giddy with energy, the crunch beneath your feet is incredibly satisfying, the fresh briskness of the air cools your lungs, and the dumbasses who can’t park when the lines are visible now have carte blanche. Ah, the beauty of the season.

I’m 4, maybe 5 minutes into Death by Lightning, and I’ve already belly-laughed twice. With McFayden and Offerman, I expected it to be a bit more light-hearted, but holy shit, we’re already entering “Damn, I wish I wrote that” territory. What the hell am I watching?!? #Scriptsky

A recent Christmas tradition in our house has been watching who/whydunits, so in anticipation of Wake Up Dead Man, we watched Knives Out. I love so many elements of the movie, but my favourite bit is the mug. It's perfect and clever af, and something I wish I had written (whole movie included).
